Joe Beatty
Board Member
Joe is an investor and advisor to numerous startups and growth companies in the technology space. Prior to that, he was President, Chief Executive Officer and a board member of Telular Corporation, a publicly held, “Internet of Things” company based in Chicago. Previous to that, Joe was the CEO of Concourse Communications, a P.E. owned, wireless service provider that was sold to Boingo Inc. Earlier in his career, Joe was a co-founder and the Chief Financial Officer of Focal Communications Corporation, a startup-to-publicly-held, telecom services provider. Currently, Joe serves on the board of four growth-stage companies. Mr. Beatty holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst, having been a sell-side securities analyst earlier in his career.
