Digital Manufacturing Commons Project Workshop

The DMDII Project Workshop is designed to educate potential proposal respondents about the Digital Manufacturing Commons. The event is for makers, tinkerers, hackers, shop floor workers, and others in the public who want to learn about and contribute ideas to this new “backbone” of the manufacturing industry. All attendees will get a live demonstration of the technology and also be given an Alpha version of the software to install on their computers.

On Thursday at WeWork’s Fulton Market office, Chicago Inno is hosting PowerPoint Karaoke, an improv-style pitch meetup where challengers have 2 minutes to deliver a completely unprepared pitch. Competitors will pitch their made up startup, which will be accompanied by a 5-slide PowerPoint that will be pre-made and completely random.
