CHICAGO, IL–(Marketwired – July 20, 2015) – The Illinois Technology Association (ITA) and Hyde Park Angels are excited to announce a new collaborative partnership that will provide additional resources for local technology startups. Drawing on its nearly 500 growth-stage and late-stage members, the ITA will provide access and exposure to successful entrepreneurs and executives who have built and grown their own ventures.

As the ITA continues to grow and expand its role as the leading voice for the local technology community, it is committed to driving innovation and building relationships with the entrepreneurial community.

“Our partnership with Hyde Park Angels is the first step in building a value chain of ‘support-based organizations’ for Chicago technology companies,” said ITA CEO Fred Hoch. “It is important for early-stage companies to know there are organizations working together to support each phase of their existence.”

Hyde Park Angels has recently built a powerful network of venture capital firms, business accelerators, academic institutions, professional advisory firms, leading corporations, and other angel groups to maximize investment opportunities and develop sustainable business-building programs.

“We’ve been able to successfully leverage our relationships to increase our effectiveness in providing investment capital and support resources to qualifying startup companies”, said Hyde Park Angel Managing Director Peter Wilkins. “Partnering with the Illinois Technology Association is a great way to extend our reach and provide additional insight from executives who have ‘been there; done that’.”
