TurboAppeal Acquires Realytics, Appoints New Chief Technology Officer

July 28, 2015 By Alida Miranda-Wolff

TurboAppeal continues its fast-paced growth trajectory since it raised $1.5M from investors @Properties, Hyde Park Angels, and Hyde Park Venture Partners earlier this year with two new strategic additions. Namely, the real estate technology company best known for its highly accurate, inexpensive, big data-powered property tax appeal solution has recently acquired another real estate tech company, Realytics, to expand its real estate analytics offerings. TurboAppeal has also appointed former Microsoft and CenturyLink executive Scott Beason as its new Chief Technology Officer.

“TurboAppeal is committed to being a leading real estate technology service.  Scott adds an element to our team that exponentially increases our capabilities while also reducing our time to market with new services.  Additionally we will be launching new enhancements to our web service to help our customers with an even easier experience,” said TurboAppeal Co-Founder and CEO Badal Shah.

The acquisition of Realytics allows TurboAppeal to expand its B2B offerings and make big data consumable beyond tax appeal technology, further strengthening its position as a real estate technology leader.

TurboAppeal’s latest acquisition isn’t the only major step it has taken to enhance and refine its technology. Scott Beason, a seasoned IT professional with experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Medical Record Systems, and Cloud Computing, will apply his data science knowledge to his new role as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to joining TurboAppeal, Scott held leadership positions at Microsoft  and Centurylink.

“In considering my next career move, I wanted to work on a technology that had both wide-spread market appeal and the potential to disrupt an industry.  In TurboAppeal I found both, with the added bonus of an incredibly capable team.”

TurboAppeal’s current Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Mehmet Dalkilic, will transition into the role of Chief Data Officer. This strategic move enables Dr. Dalkilic and the team to focus more intently on TurboAppeal’s machine learning capabilities and algorithm development and management, further differentiating the company in the real estate technology space.
