Alphathena Raises $4 Million Series Seed Round

HPA is excited to announce our participation in Alphathena’s $4M Series Seed Round, which was led by ETFS Capital. The investment will fund Alphathena’s mission to empower advisors with accessible and customizable direct indexing solutions.

Alphathena introduces a robust AI-driven direct indexing platform empowering RIAs to craft distinctive personalization strategies for their clients. The software streamlines the process of creating and managing new indexes, eliminating the need for additional manual effort. The platform also incorporates high-value features like tax loss harvesting and rebalancing. Leveraging Alphathena’s AI-driven software and support allows RIAs to distinguish themselves in a competitive marketplace and effectively meet their clients’ investment objectives.

“The Alphathena platform enables clients to build and optimize investment strategies truly customized to their individual needs at scale,” said John Crosson, HPA Deal Lead. “We believe that Alphathena’s independent and innovative approach positions it for significant growth in the market.”

Through this strategic investment, Alphathena is dedicated to progressing its product development plans and reinforcing focus on critical distribution areas within their business. The objective is to make this technology accessible to a broader range of independent advisors and other growing firms.

“We are thrilled to have the support of two such esteemed investors as ETFS Capital and HPA,” said Mohan Naidu, CEO of Alphathena. “Their belief in our platform and the future of direct indexing and personalization validates our vision of democratizing access to this powerful investment strategy for advisors of all sizes.”

HPA Deal Lead John Crosson will continue to support Alphathena as a Board Observer. John has deep expertise in financial services from his time at two successfully exited fintech companies. MainStreet Investment Advisors, one of the companies he founded, provides technology and investment solutions for a broad spectrum of financial professionals including RIAs, asset managers, and insurance companies. John sold MainStreet to MB Financial in 2015 and is currently an active early-stage investor and advisor.

On behalf of HPA, congratulations to co-founders Mohan Naidu and Tushad Driver for this achievement! We are excited to support the company in the months and years ahead.
