Better Trucks Receives Strategic Investment from Uber Freight to Accelerate Last-Mile Expansion

HPA is excited to celebrate a major milestone for our portfolio company Better Trucks, which has received a strategic investment from Uber Freight alongside an expanded commercial partnership. This collaboration strengthens Uber Freight’s end-to-end logistics capabilities while accelerating Better Trucks’ growth as a next-generation last-mile carrier.

Traditional parcel networks continue to face mounting pressure as e-commerce volumes grow and consumer expectations shift toward faster, more predictable delivery. Retailers, marketplaces, and fulfillment providers are increasingly seeking modern last-mile partners that offer reliability, visibility, and flexibility.

Better Trucks solves this through a technology-first last-mile delivery platform, combining an open-API stack, expanding sortation footprint, and a dense independent driver network to enable fast, cost-efficient next-day and two-day delivery across major U.S. metros.

Through this strategic partnership and investment, Better Trucks’ infrastructure and platform now provide key capabilities to Uber Freight, including:

  • Connected Technology Ecosystem: Better Trucks’ open API architecture integrates with 50+ leading logistics and e-commerce platforms, enabling seamless data flow, real-time visibility, and workflow automation across the Uber Freight network.
  • Sortation Technology: Powering Uber Freight’s ability to establish and optimize services at seven sortation centers, increasing operational efficiency and expanding next-day and two-day delivery coverage.
  • Address Validation & Geocoding: Enhancing verification, standardization, and converting addresses into precise geographic coordinates—ensuring more accurate deliveries, reduced errors, and optimized routing.

“This strategic investment will allow us to immediately enhance our delivery solutions for shippers,” said Rebecca Tinucci, CEO of Uber Freight. “Better Trucks’ track record in efficient, tech-driven solutions, combined with their expanding network, enables us to offer customers unparalleled speed and flexibility.”

“This partnership and investment bring new scale and opportunity to what we have always done: serve shippers from the distribution center to the doorstep,” said Andy Whiting, Co-Founder & CEO of Better Trucks. “Our shared vision for a more intelligent and efficient logistics network is at the heart of this collaboration.”

This milestone reflects the growing importance of integrated, data-driven delivery solutions and underscores Better Trucks’ position as a critical player shaping the future of last-mile logistics.

We congratulate the Better Trucks team and look forward to supporting their continued momentum.
